Ain't this a fine kettle of fish...
Sep. 17th, 2001 03:29 amIt amazes me as to how much material I can come up with, and yet when it comes time to put any of it here, I'm a completely mindless retard. When I get to this point, all I can think of is "duh". Well, I'm here. I might as well put something here. Hm.
Ok, this past Tuesday. We all know about this tragedy now. There's not a whole lot I can say about this matter, because words fail me. Tonight on the news, I saw footage of someone complaining about how bad the service at airports had become because of this incident. Well, duh. Terrorists take four large airplanes and crash most of them into key buildings, and it's highly suspected that there were more hijackings planned. Whadya expect, getting in and out of the airport being a cakewalk now? Officials say that it's suggested to get to the airport 4 hours before you take off. Four hours! If I would go to Atlanta like I originally planned to, I'd still be better off driving. But that's a different matter and a personal preference.
Ah, Anime Weekend Atlanta. I don't think I'll go this year. I just can't see it happening for me again. Yeah, I could go if I really wanted, but I can't. Still no job. If I were a working man, I'd go. Never mind the unemployment pay, never mind that Anime Pavilion would be effectively sponsoring the trip. A couple days ago, I was kinda vague about going. I wanted to go, and yet I wasn't sure... So I was talking with a friend today, and she suggested I stay home. She pointed out that it was too far away, and I had no job. It didn't take much for her to persuade me to decide to stay home for this year.
BTW, I'd like to add that there's nothing that bugs me more than being reminded of what I want and cannot have.

Oh well, I'll live. ^_^ Yeah, I wanna go, but realistically... It's not like I have to go to AWA this year. I could still go, but it'd just make problems for me somehow. Oh well, there's still AUSA and Neko-con. Heh, there's always something that keeps me from going to more than six conventions a year.
I'll buy you a candy bar. How about that? ^_^
