This is why PS2's get modded to play import games. I think that's all I need to say about that.
Also, I shall hereby implement a new personal policy: If I make someone feel uncomfortable, I get to collect money from them. The discomfort fee will range depending on situation, familiarity, and what effort will be required to remedy the situation. If it doesn't make sense to anyone else, that's ok, it doesn't have to. It makes perfect sense to me, and if I had started this ten years ago, I'd be a millionaire by now.

"Are you..... comfortable?"

Date: 2004-06-04 12:54 am (UTC)An example: I go into a movie theater and sit down. Someone else comes in and sits beside or near me, but grows uncomfortable for whatever reason. If they decide to get up and find another seat, there's not much I can do about that. If they decide to stick around and not show any signs, I'm none the wiser. Some signs of discomfort? I charge them a couple bucks for peace of mind. Now, here's where it gets fun. If they ask ME to find another seat, and there's no one else in the theater, I'm going to ask for no less than $20 because they're too damn lazy to get up on their own. If it's a crowded theater and there's no chance of finding another seat, it's no less than $100, because another seat is going to be in another theater. If it's a matter where they were sitting there first and I happened to sit beside them because of the crowded theater, I may charge less.
There are plenty of other situations similar to this. Despite the fact that I wouldn't actually do anything to justify their reactions, it's the absurdity of some of it. Plus it's a fun way to make some money.

Suguru: Sensei! What are you doing?
Shikijo: Are you...comfortable?
