And so, as it was. Went to the York Anime Club, and due to a clerical error, it almost wasn't going to happen this weekend. But, my packrat habits saved the day when I showed proof the room was reserved and paid for. So that was cool.

Sometimes I question my internet habits. Most of my direct interaction is LJ related, or digging for random anime news. Indirect usage is ransacking BitTorrent for all it's worth, and that's why I want broadband (which isn't available yet). Let them run overnight, even if takes however much longer. Or better yet, tag-team! Use the home connection for the slow-burn types that won't go fast anyway, and the T-mobile account for the ones that have a zillion peers. I'm gonna keep T-mobile, because it is rather handy when out and about. Feh. This last torrent would have been a prime example for using it at home. I should have been home a long time ago tonight.

Recently, I got word that Yamiko-chan may be finished by as much as a week ahead of schedule. This is good. However, her absence has reminded me how much Ai-chan rocks. My driving has accounted for 190k of her 230k miles, and yes, she's needed a couple things done, but they're the kind I'm willing to forgive, such as a new clutch. A 300ZX I had cost more in less than a third of the mileage. A bit of wisdom that someone gave to me way back in high school regarding cars: "The ones that break your heart are the ones that nickel and dime you to death." The kind of wisdom you can't really implement until it's too late. Oh, Ai-chan. You probably won't outlive me, but you have seen more than 20% of my life. If you had been the nickel & dime type, you would have only been around for less than 2%. May we see more years and miles together.

Now, back to anime. Seeing as how Konomini has finally finished up, I suppose I could dig in one evening and watch the whole series in one sitting. Right now I have no preconceptions on how it ends, and I'd rather keep it that way. Let's see, Slayers, Cowboy Bebop, Mahoromatic, Scrapped Princess, Maburaho, watched those shows in the same conditions. No spoilers, no warnings. Just watch and see. It adds to the enjoyment, I find. It's like there's no sense in going down the road if you already know where it goes, if all you want is to go somewhere new.

"Trance Beans" (6.9MB) is rocking my socks. It's a character song from Maburaho, sung by the samurai girl. Yes, her. Don't ask me how it works. But I know I had this one on repeat for awhile. On top of that, it's been a while since I posted a song in here. So here's another one. If you've seen the Troubled Windows flash file, you'll recognize the song, even though the song is from this game.

Ok, my torrents are done, time for me to roll on home.
