Last Friday at work I was supposed to take a test for arsenic, but the day before I was cleaning ion sources, which are invariably coated with -you guessed it- arsenic. With the amount of protection I use, it's very unlikely that any of it would get in my system, so at the worst I'd just have to take the test again. Keep in mind that eating seafood in the week before the test can really throw off the results, so the threshold for high levels would likely go unnoticed by the body. They just want to make the safety band as wide as possible. So I still have to take the test, which means no Long John Silver's until the weekend. As for the arsenic residue itself, don't ask me for any of it, I don't keep any, I don't take any of it home, so if there's someone you're thinking about bumping off, you're on your own.

There's a couple new techno-gadget toys I bought last night, but what are they? Hi-mi-tsu! I'll let y'all know what they are next week.

Last night I started watching an episode of Trigun, but it was really weird, because there were samurai running around, and Vash had one hell of a sex change done, complete with a massive rack! So I was all OMFG! until I realized I was watching "Grenadier". I think I'll give this show the benefit of the doubt and finish watching it tonight, if I get home early enough.

Hearing good things about My-HIME. Hence, I shall acquire and watch.

I am way behind on getting some fresh manga. I think I shall wait to do that until AUSA, where I hope to snag some mad bargains on Sunday afternoon, teasing the dealers with cash while they're packing up. I'll have a staff badge, and I'm not afraid to use it!

I must populate my fridge with Woodchuck. It's been awhile since I had some, and I know I still have some back in Waynesboro. It is there that I must travel to sometime this week, and no later! To pick up the Woodchuck. And a big spool of wire. And a hand-truck. And, other stuff. Yeah.

Mom will be pleased that you're taking stuff OUT of the house... but I dunno if there's any Woodchuck left. Unless you've got a hidden stash somewhere.

Nope, no Woodchuck left. Although, one thing I forgot to mention that I was taking, was the big red suitcase. Mom was quite happy to see that thing go. This trip was a light haul.

The gadgetry I bought is nothing really massive or expensive, but it will be known what I got in a couple days.

As for AUSA, unless you're in a situation where you're spending the entire weekend at work to pay down bills, if you really want to go, going as a volunteer can take care of the larger expenses. Believe me, we can always use the extra help. (You live closer to it than I used to when I commuted to it.)

the problem isn't that, I wouldn't mind volunteering. I'm inbetween jobs at the moment and cannot truly afford to go.
