Ok, apparently I'm going to AWA after all. Right now I'm sitting outside a Flying J near the border of North and South Carolina. The trip so far has been odd. Instead of bolting straight through like I usually have in the past, I've taken side trips and naps and other things that greatly added to my time. Not that I mind, it's actually enhanced the quality of it. Spending a couple hours on the Blue Ridge Parkway instead of I-81 during rush hour has greatly improved my outlook. I'm looking forward to AWA now simply because I'm not setting out to accomplish anything specific, it's a road trip and convention trip rolled into one weekend and I don't have to do any work at the convention itself. That is probably the biggest factor. True, I could have stayed home and finished up Ai-chan's exhaust. Eh, I'll save that for Monday (or Sunday night if I get home soon enough), weather permitting.

Naturally, I've taken some pictures already, and I got a zillion others to put up as well. All in due time, whenever that is.

Alright, enough of this, time to hit the road again.

Yay! Good on you! You're doing a road trip the way a road trip should be done. Now I have two cousins to be envious of, you and rubian77, her for her new DSL hookup; you because you're rollin' and I'm not.

For a short time while on the road, I was genuinely considering to brush off the convention altogether and just ramble around for a few days. But I'm here at the convention now, having fun, and ready to call it a night.

The trip home probably won't be as leisurely, but still fun.
