Ok, I'm halfway through my "extended weekend", and I'm less than halfway through my cleaning. That's only fair, since I was away from home for about three days. So right now I'm taking a break, which can be properly translated as "just woke up." But it's not to say that I'm not making any kind of progress. However, some of this progress was only made possible by usage of power tools, including the Sawzall, and for that particular side project, I'm only mostly done. The fact that the 220V line didn't shock me and throw me across the room indicates that I've learned how to handle it. There are still some pesky trouble spots, and copious amounts of empty cardboard boxes, but if I can keep moving, I should have those done today or tomorrow, and will be ready for The Next Step. I don't want to be that far ahead anyway, since it's all rainy and yucky outside today. But yeah. Divide and conquer!

Tekkoshocon for me is GO! Got my pre-reg, got my room reserved. If I go to Katsucon as well, Tekkoshocon will be convention #60 for me. Dang. No Ohayocon for me for 2006, though. Plus, half the cons I'm pondering on attending are in my "not mandatory" list.

Hmm, I need to get something that can hold a large number of DVDs. I mean, something like 300 or so. Really, I'm not kidding.

Alright, time for me to get back to work, or getting distracted, or an odd combination of both.

perhaps it's hard to make progress cleaning using something called a Sawzall, especially if you expect it to fry your brains. maybe we have different definitions of cleaning or something, but the only power tool I use to clean is a 12 amp dirt devil.

oh, and for the obligatory joke:
i found something that can fit 300 dvds, but your moms too busy filled with other guys to be able to do that for long.

Dammit, now I'm hungry for White Castle.

I would advise you to writ my friend Stick Sticky.
P.O. Box 963, New York City, New York State 10108

If you get that, then you get a million cool points.

You meant Stick Stickly, not Sticky?

What would a million cool points be worth in internets?

From: [identity profile] animedude.livejournal.com
yes, Stickly. Im not sure if they are excangable for internets. But its worth 300 Gaia Gold

Haven't been to Gaia, so I don't know if that would do me any good. I should probably stick to the cool points.

Gaia is...annoying. Most of the people there have the intellegence of a goldfish and insist that Sephiroth could beat up Superman. I only go there because my sort-of-ex-grilfriend first got me to go there and its really additive buying things. But I dont post there often. And back on subject, you dont get the cool points unless you understood the obscure refrence.

My only direct experience with Gaia was when I caught someone there hotlinking from my site. Instead of direct confrontation, I just... changed the image around...

What kinda site you have? Pictures of catgirls in maid outfits fighting off thosands of ninjas on a far off planet while Iron Man and Batman duke it out in the background and Sakaki gives free ice cream to everyone?

If I don't have that on my site now, I will have it on there eventually.

There is a catalog for everything. Even Persocoms

From: [identity profile] psipsy.livejournal.com
Yeah, I browsed through that one. Initially they were kinda pricey, but the factory seconds were more acceptable, if the end user could accept some minor flaws and quirks, such as a lack of volume control and the Persocom equivalent of Tourette's Syndrome.

I hear-tell some models come equiped for... certain activites one would not normally enage with their computer. I would imagine such a thing would be dangerous for both the user and the persocom, seeing how know one knows how many sharp spinning gears and gyros a persocom would have in their internal workings.

Personally I wouldn't mind the Tourette's if she kept making me sandwhiches and let me play Grand Theft Auto on her.

But they haven't salted around here yet....

Maybe you were dipping into them early?

Date: 2005-12-31 07:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] aichan95.livejournal.com
Nonsense! I don't really like them, it's just when it snows or stuff, they salt the roads, and if I'm on the road, it has a mind-altering effect on me.

I'd really prefer living in an area that doesn't see winter weather so much.

From: [identity profile] animedude.livejournal.com
I would assume road salts would have ill effects on a car. Espcially a sentient one capable of accessign the internet and posting on blogs. Most people would rather ive in a place with no snow.

You assume correctly, sir.

If Mr. Driver didn't have this taken care of, (http://www.cardboardshrine.com/ouch.jpg) I probably wouldn't be alive, or wishing I wasn't.

Somewhat. It didn't affect driveability for the time being, but if left unchecked, it would spread and spread and eventually consume all the sheet metal. Not to mention an unintentional brush against that would likely require a tetanus shot and maybe some stitches.
