Feb. 11th, 2006 08:43 pmThe ADHD seminar went well, got a bunch of informative handouts and such, and when they started going over the symptoms, my thoughts went like so: "Ah, I'm probably going to have only a couple or so of the symptoms WOAH THAT'S ME!" I don't know, I guess I don't really suffer from it, in fact in some ways I celebrate it.
Last night I was almost pulled over for speeding. I wasn't going quite fast enough for the radar to be valid, but if I was clocked with the police car's speedometer, then it would make for a valid speeding ticket. Well, that wasn't going to happen, because there's something entirely too suspicious about any car that's parked on the side of the road that turns on its headlights when you're going past and immediately pulls out and follows you. 50 in a 45 zone is technically speeding, but slowing down to 40 in a 45 zone certainly isn't. So that didn't last long, as he (or she) pulled off to repeat the process on someone else. Hm, not the first time this has happened to me, and won't be the last.
Eep, both of the Nanoha series have downloaded in very little time. The second series averaged at about 220k/s, peaking somewhere over 300k/s. But like many other anime, it'll be a while before I actually watch it. As for now, the next big thing on my plate is Azumanga Daioh! Then Triangle Heart, which is related to Nanoha. Since it's snowing outside, it'll be awhile before I can actually go anywhere, so watching anime will keep my brain happy. This will also likely mean no AUSA staff meeting for me tomorrow.
Bought a big bag of unsalted almonds, and have been munching on those consistently since Wednesday evening. I understand almonds are a good brain food, so it's a great guilt-free snack.
The opening theme to the new anime REC is addictively cute and happy and cheerful! It's also right here! Enjoy.
Ok, anime time.

Date: 2006-02-12 03:08 am (UTC)I was on my way to work going about 70 in a 55 and went to pass a car that was in my way in the fast lane... I got up to him and saw a something, so I took a second look and realized that it was lights in his back window, making him an unmarked car. they were well hidden, but I get fairly paranoid when I drive so i notice the small things usually. anyway i slowdown and he realizes that I know he's a cop so he speeds up to 80 looking for another stupid guy to pull over... I'm glad I saw it otherwise i'd have a huge ticket to pay >_>

Date: 2006-02-12 06:14 am (UTC)Some cops, if they're not on duty or if they're in a division that's not part of traffic control, generally don't pay much mind to how fast people are going unless someone's REALLY doing something stupid.
Something to also consider, I've also seen Pontiac GTOs, Ford Mustangs, Explorers, F350s, even a work-truck with the giant toolboxes instead of the pickup bed, used as unmarked cop cars, and have heard legends of even more off the wall types such as hopped-up trucks and a Geo Metro.
If they start using unmarked riced-out Civics if they haven't already, that would be dangerous for all the street racers out there.
