Got my hair cut, really short, it is now 3/8". It's quite comfortable this way, what with warmer weather coming. It is also soft and fuzzy and pettable.

I now have a can of freeze spray. Bwahahahah.

Cleaned up the registry on the PC and gave it an old-fashioned defrag, something I should have already done before anyway and should do regularly. I think it's happier now? Too soon to say, naturally. The G4 upgrade for my old Lombard PB should show up sometime next week, and get that back in action. The G4 Titanium is still out. No idea when that will show up. Honestly, my Lombard may be 25% thicker than my Ti G4, but it also works out to be 25 times more physically robust.
It is clear that the winners of the new season, at least for me, will be "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" and "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni". The two are diametrically opposed to each other, but both good. My watching of "Higurashi" so far went like this:
1st episode: Intriguing.
2nd: Um... Brrrr...
3rd: Hey this is getting freaky OMG DID THEY REALLY DO THAT
4th: Ok, I made the mistake of watching this one right before I went to bed, and it managed to do what bizarre anime, all sorts of horror movies, and [livejournal.com profile] yamikochan's image collection had failed to do throughout my life: Actually giving me a nightmare. Yes, that's correct. Bob the Strange, getting a nightmare from watching an anime. Not quite the "waking up screaming in the middle of the night in a cold sweat" variety, nor was it The Freakiest Dream I Ever Had, but it did make me uncomfortable and I was quite glad to wake up from it.

Does this mean that I'll stop watching it? Oh no. I'm going to keep watching it, because anything that can affect my head like that deserves more of my attention as well as respect. Props to 07th Expansion on coming up with this one. And there are 26 episodes of this planned. EEeeeeeeeeeee.

York Anime Club was fun. It was also a test trial for the DVD/DivX player, which glitched a couple times and thusly didn't do as well as I thought it would, but for what I paid, and what I wanted it to do, it wasn't all that bad. Also found out that even though the instructions said it wouldn't read .avi files on a DVD disc, it did anyway, which isn't a surprise to me. But we did get to watch more of Ghost Stories with the outrageous dub. And that evening, I timed Tim drinking a glass of pink lemonade; he was able to finish one off in a bit over 6 seconds. But I think the glasses were kinda small, and mostly filled with ice, because I was cruising through glasses of Mountain Dew easily myself.

Tomorrow shall include a lot of sleeping, though I'll probably end up doing something else. More like later today. Eesh, it's time to close out this entry.

See? SEE? I told you that show would rock!

Now you need to help me make Higurashi LJ icons.
