psipsy: (maid fanservice)

A couple days ago, I went nuts and bought about six pounds of almonds. That should last me awhile.

If I described a dream as starting off going to Burger King on the Friday of Otakon, it would be immediately dismissed as boring. And if someone were to describe their's the same way, I'd probably tune them out after five words. I could go into more detail about this one, but perhaps another time. For now, I'd like to say that as a whole it was sweet, innocent, and perhaps a bit silly as well. I knew it was just a dream, and I knew I would wake up before the end, but that's alright, I already knew how it would end, and that it would have a happy ending. When I woke up, that dream had me in a good mood all day Thursday. By now you could figure out that the elements of Burger King, Friday, and Otakon were merely secondary details. That's the thing about dreams, how we describe them is nowhere near as eloquent as how we experienced them. This dream in particular was certainly no exception.

Ever since Studio Ironcat went under, I've been craving for my fix of Hanaukyo Maid Tai manga. As fanservicey as that was originally, it had some story elements cooking. None of the anime series ever resolve some of the questions, and there's only three volumes of the English versions. So! Now I must seek out the Japanese books. If I don't find them at Otakon, I may tag on a request for anyone doing a Bookoff run in the near future, or tag along myself. Failing all that, there's always getting them from Amazon, even though that would entail paying more for shipping and handling than the books themselves. Eh, I'll have this resolved right after Otakon one way or another.

Ok, even though it's Saturday, I'm off to work. Viva la overtime pay!

Or better yet, the people that actually caused them to go out of business.
