Since I got Coppermine up and running, I'm starting to move pictures over into that for the sake of better managing them, rather than have them scattered around on the site. Currently I have it set up so that only [livejournal.com profile] aichan95, [livejournal.com profile] yamikochan and myself can post pictures, but with the option of expanding to other members of the forum as I see fit. The image gallery is bridged to the forum, so registering at one registers at the other at the same time.

Ok, so I've been doing the exercise thing for almost two months now, and I'm noticing something weird happening: I'm losing weight. Yes, LOSING weight. Nothing drastic, but it's a noticeable change. When I started this regimen, I was approaching 260; now I'm hanging around at about 245. Also, listening to Underworld's "Cowgirl (Bedrock Mix)" while on the elliptical makes for a grueling workout, and I'm loving it. Capsule's "CrazEEE Skyhopper" has the same effect. Suggestions for other good workout songs: GO!

Still can't decide if I want to get another bike or keep fixing the one I got. Taking a good close look at it under good light reveals some issues, such as the mounts for the front brakes are loose, and I can suddenly imagine the brakes flying off while trying to apply them. For that, a new fork would be beneficial, as it's the same fork that literally broke while I was riding it, and was welded back together by the kindness of my neighbor who had the appropriate skills and equipment. So, new fork would cost a few bucks. Also the rear wheel has some wobble to it, not the kind from mal-adjusted spokes, but a clunk-clunk wobble. That can't be good.

You, the reader, might be wondering why I suddenly have a jonesing to get back into bike riding, or you're just shaking your head at another of my phases. But like I said earlier, there's nothing quite like bike riding, and there are many places that are only accessible by such. So the other day I was in a specialty bike shop and looking around and all they had some seriously nice rides, but the prices started at what most people would pay for a decent used car. I decided that I didn't need a bike that was that high-end, even if it would probably outlive me. Eh, I'll tweak the old one a bit more anyway and see how it holds up.

Ok, time to wrap this up and go to work and watch more anime tonight. Or fall asleep when I get home.

Awesome! Mountain bike or street bike?

Mountain bike, natch. Specifically, the Mongoose Wing Elite. It was marked down from $500 because it's a 2006 and now the 2007's are coming out.

I've always preferred that kind since I could just zing off into the wilderness. They'll tune it up for me and it'll be ready for me to pick up this evening, if all goes well. A far cry from when I got that bike from Zayre's, which was *mostly* assembled (but it was still good), or that blue bike used which had problems from the start (and still does).
