The other day I was in Borders, looking over their selection of manga, and I see a lot of titles that I recognize, then I see others that I don't recognize, then I see more that I recognize like School Rumble and Ichigo 100%, and I'm trying to think of when in hell were those released here (they weren't) and then I see the whole shelf titled "Untranslated Manga". Ok, that makes sense now. But the prices, yow! $13 for a ¥390 book. For those keeping score, that's about three bucks and change for a direct currency conversion. If they charged $5 or even $6, that would be easier to handle, but $13? I'm gonna hit up Taiga or someplace like it someday for that instead, or wait for someone to release it here.
Looking over my referral logs for the Shrine, I noticed that my site's gotten a lot of hits from Canadiangunnutz.com, but I cannot figure out what, where, how, or why. It doesn't even look like they're leeching anything. In order to browse their forums, I would need to register and log in, and I would rather not bother with that at this point. So far, no damage done. If it turns out they are leeching, and when I figure out what, I'll be ready. Oh, how I'll be ready. (Proceed at your own risk.)
I mourn the loss of Hunter S. Thompson. More gonzo journalism is needed in this world.
The last volume of the Pita Ten manga needs to come out just a little earlier. Like... today.
And in case I don't show up in LJ-land between now and then, York Anime Club this Saturday.
